Spend time this summer with Saint André

 

With the arrivai of summer, our thoughts turn to vacations, get-togethers, enjoying the warmth of the sun. lt is also an excellent time to concentrate on yourself as a human being and to enter onto a spiritual journey which will open you to a new place in your lite.

 

As we do every year, Saint Joseph's Oratory of Mount Royal is offering you an assortment from a wide range of activities; for example, from August 7 to September 11, we are organizing Music at Sundown, Wednesdays at 19:00 o'clock on the Belvedere just above the Mezzanine level. lt's a musical smorgasbord of different styles (jazz trios, choirs, ensembles, etc.) between 30 to 45 minutes each, with superb sunsets as the backdrop. Then there are the proverbial Sunday Organ Concerts at 15:30 o'clock; guided visits to the Oratory every day at 13:30 and 15:00; visits to the Garden of the Way of the Cross; exhibits in the Oratory Museum every day from 10:00 to 16:30.

7:00, 10:00, 11:30, 12:15 (in English), 16:30, 19:30 (Tuesday and Thursday evenings in English)

14:00 Mass for the Siek

Sunday

7:00, 8:00, 9:30, 11:OO, 11:15 (in English), 12:30, 15:00 (in Spanish), 16:30, 19:30

 

 

 

Sunday, August 4: guided explanations for the displays on the lite of Brother André - 12:00 to 16:00.

Wednesday, August 7: Mass and Anointing of the Siek at 14:00, in the crypt church

Friday, August 9: Mass in the Basilica at 19:30 followed by candlelight procession. Free entrance to the Oratory museum, from 10:00 to 16:00.

Sunday, August 18: Testimonies by Home Caregivers at all masses.

 

Sunday, August 25: the 65th Pilgrimage to Mont Saint-Grégoire, the birthplace of Brother André . Buses will leave the Oratory at 9:00. There will be a Eucharistie Celebration in the local parish church at 11:OO followed by prayers at the monument erected to Brother André in Mont Saint­ Grégoire, and a festive meal.
